Two SRC directors named as IEEE Fellows
University research consortium for semiconductors and related technologies, Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) has announced that directors Kwok Ng and Jeff Welser have been named IEEE Fellows.
Ng, director of Device Sciences at SRC, enters the IEEE Fellows class of 2010 for 'contributions to the optimisation of intrinsic parasitics in metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor design'.
Welser, director of the Nanoelectronics Research Initiative at SRC, will enter the IEEE Fellow class of 2011 on January 1 for 'leadership in emerging device technologies for computer applications'.
The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year cannot exceed one tenth of 1% of the total voting membership. IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership.
