UK company aims to assist in materials research
A new UK company has been set up to help researchers to develop new materials and systems for the next generation of semiconductors, spintronics and ferromagnetic systems.
Rhomap, a new company based in Durham, is launching a highly sensitive turn key magneto transport electrical measurement system designed for research laboratories studying new materials. According to Rhomap, its new Ohmpoint measurement system provides a range of software selectable sample connection probe geometries in one system.
The instrument has been designed to enable users to measure resistance in two to four point geometry, sheet resistance and magneto transport behaviour, including hall effect and magnetoresistance. The system also allows users to select between individual measurements and batch scanning of multiple samples. Ohmpoint is controlled through Rhomap's bespoke MeasureR software interface that provides a 'flexible and intuitive user experience'.
