Ultra miniature pcb switch mode power supplies
Believed to be the smallest, fully functional switch mode power supply available, PowerPax UK's BPS product series is available in output powers of 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0W.
According to PowerPax, the range Is based on a patented circuit design which eliminates line EMI so that no input filtering is needed. This has been achieved by isolating the input path for the duration of the conducted noise. The circuit has been designed to try and maximise efficiency and regulate output voltages evenly over the 85 to 265VAC input range. Single outputs of 8 and 14V DC and dual outputs of 8 and 5VDC are available. The range, says PowerPax, features efficiencies of up to 75%, an operating temperature of -25 to 70ºC and input to output isolation of 3KVAC.
