WEEE recycling at £6 per tonne
WeeeCare claims it is the first company to get a licence from the Environment Agency to deal with waste electronic equipment under the WEEE regulations. And the company says recycling could cost those using its services as little as £6 a tonne.
Kevin Bray, WeeeCare’s acting chief executive, said: “Individual producers must know now how much the new rules will cost them, to plan for the future. To ensure minimal outlay and help producers decide which scheme to enrol with, WeeeCare was keen to be upfront and transparent about its costs from the outset.”
WeeeCare says it can keep costs down because it has its own recycling plants and collection facilities throughout the UK, and more than 20 years experience of waste management through sister company WasteCare.
