Xilinx adds to Zynq-7000 SoC family
Xilinx has announced the Zynq-7100 range of All Programmable SoCs. According to the company, the combination of signal processing performance and an ARM Cortex-A9MPcore processor creates a 'highly integrated' solution for those looking to develop dsp intensive products.
Alongside speeding time to market, Zynq-7100 parts are said to reduce power consumption compared to multichip solutions.
Providing programmable logic functionality equivalent to a Kintex-7, Zynq-7100 parts comes with 444,000 logic cells, 3Mbyte of block ram and 2020 dsp slices. Peak dsp performance is said to be 2622GMACs.
Two package options are available: a 31 x 31mm 900ball bga; and a 35 x 35mm 1156ball bga.
