XMOS to double UK workforce in 2014
Multicore microcontroller developer XMOS is to expand its operations in the UK, China and Japan next year.
The move comes on the back of strong revenue growth and a $14million equity boost from London and Silicon Valley based investors.
XMOS said it expects to double its engineering workforce at its development centres in Bristol and Chennai in 2014.
It also revealed plans to open a new support centre in Shenzhen, new sales offices in Japan and Germany, plus further expansion in resources in North America.
XMOS' ceo Nigel Toon, pictured, described the investment as an endorsement of the company's 'category defining' technology and strong market momentum.
"Revenue growth at XMOS has been averaging 30% quarter on quarter and design wins at consumer, pro-audio, industrial and automotive customers are accelerating fast," he added.
