Linear Technology has introduced a new range of dual and single high IF sampling 14bit, 170, 210 and 250Ms/s analogue to digital converters.
According to the company, the LTC2152-14 and LTC2157-14 single and dual channel simultaneous sampling devices maintain good sfdr performance at input frequencies up to 900MHz and offer double data rate lvds digital outputs.
The converters are specifically designed for communications systems with high under sampling capability.
Operating from a single 1.8V supply, the dual LTC2157-14 consumes 303mW per channel at 250Ms/s and offers a signal to noise ratio performance of 70dB as well as sfdr of 90dB at baseband with an easy to drive 1.5Vpp input range. Pin compatible speed grade options include 170 and 210Ms/s in 14 and 12bit resolutions. According to Linear, analogue full power bandwidth of 1.25GHz and low jitter of 0.15psRMS enables under sampling of IF frequencies with excellent noise performance.
Available in compact 9 x 9mm (dual) and 6 x 6mm (single) QFN packages, the devices are offered in commercial or industrial temperature grades.
