24bit a/d converters feature 'industry leading' noise performance
Intersil has introduced two new 24bit delta sigma a/d converters for weigh scales, precision sensors and industrial process control systems.
The ISL26132 and ISL26134 feature an ultra low noise programmable gain amplifier (with gains of 1x, 2x, 64x and 128x), and are designed to provide direct connection to sensors without the need for additional circuitry.
The modules have a conversation rate of 80S/s and an 'industry leading' noise performance of 10S/s. Both devices are offered as drop-in replacements for the ADS1232 and ADS1234.
The ISL26132 and ISL26134 also incorporate simple SPI compatible serial digital interfaces for easy connection to an mcu or fpga.
They have a wide PGA gain range which is said to enable direct connections to load cells and other popular sensors, eliminating the need for external components and reducing overall bom cost.
