4.25Gbps 850nm VCSEL LC-TOSA
UK distributor, The Optoelectronics Company, has announced the availability of the TP85-LCP1F, an 850nm VCSEL LC transmitter optical sub assembly (TOSA) designed for high speed data communications, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channels.
Packaged with an internal monitor photodiode for power control, this device from Korean manufacturer Optowell is designed to provide a circular, non astigmatic, narrow divergence beam that provides 500µW typical coupled power into a 50/125 µm 0.20NA fibre.
The TP85-LCP1F provides data rates of up to 4.25Gbps with low operating current of 7mA, low forward voltage of 1.8V typical and an operating temperature range of -20 to 85°C.
The VCSELs are designed for use in fibre channels, Gigabit Ethernet and optical communications, and are also available in TO-Can, fibre pigtail and SC TOSA packages.
