Audio switch eliminates clicks and pops
The ISL54406 is a low distortion stereo audio switch said to eliminate the clicks and pops typically caused by powering up and down, muting on and off and switching between audio sources.
Delivering a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.015% at 1mW into a 32? load, the part's low THD switching path can be interrupted to provide more than 110dB of off isolation for signal muting purposes into 32? or high impedance loads which are typical in consumer and automotive entertainment systems. An instant on capability needs no timing capacitor and draws 7µA.
The ISL54406 provides active and standby modes, with the standby mode reducing the supply current to a maximum of 5nA.
