Devices improve voltage accuracy in satellite applications
Intersil has added four new devices to its ISL71091SEH family of radiation hardened voltage references. The new modules are said to enable better overall accuracy for 11 and 12bit A/D converter resolution applications, as well we superior output voltage noise.
Targeted at satellite data acquisition, signal processing and power management applications, the ISL71091SEH20 provides a 2.048 voltage reference specifically for commonly used 11bit A/D converter resolution, while the ISL71091SEH40 provides a 4.096 voltage reference specifically for 12bit A/D converter resolution.
Both devices provide a reference voltage consistent with 1mV LSB. Intersil says these voltage reference options enable system designers to optimise accuracy within 11 and 12bit signal processing system resolution targets, respectfully, ensuring signal processing integrity.
The new devices utilise the company's SOI-based PR40 process to deliver Single Event Latch-up (SEL) immunity. They are specified over a temperature range of -55 to 125°C.
