Full C++ support for embedded development tools
IAR Systems has announced its IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM 6.10, the latest version of its tool chain for embedded developers.
The software has been designed to increase productivity for developers of high end embedded applications and support a range of ARM targets. According to IAR, it is the first to incorporate full ISO/ANSI specification support of C++.
The workbench features stl and rtti and has been designed to allow easier integration of commercially available software that shortens development cycles. It is also said to avoid the risks associated with using a C++ compiler not to the ISO/ANSI C++ specification.
