Using the formulation of its two flagship products, GT1000 and GT5000 (widely adopted by prime contractors in the defense, aeronautics and space sectors), Getelec has developed GT1000 FLEX and GT5000 FLEX to launch its new range, which will subsequently be extended to its entire range of conductive products.
When versatility meets performance
Thanks to their advanced formulation, products in the FLEX range offer excellent electrical conductivity and slightly better shielding performance than their more rigid equivalents. This is particularly true of the GT 5000 FLEX, which boasts a shielding performance of 106.77 dB at 10 GHz, i.e. 20.28 dB more than its non-flexible equivalent, the GT 5000. The FLEX range also promises unprecedented flexibility
With a hardness of 40 Shore A for the GT1000 FLEX and 30 Shore A for the GT5000 FLEX (respectively 45 and 35 Shore less than their namesakes), the products in the FLEX range offer very low compression deformation. This unprecedented flexibility guarantees optimum groove filling and the resolution of the majority of today’s mechanical constraints.
An effective solution to lighten equipment
The FLEX range is intended to stand out not only for its more powerful shielding properties and unprecedented flexibility, but also for its response to many of today’s constraints and challenges, notably that of lightening equipment.
Indeed, thanks to their great flexibility and very low density (2.67 g/cm3 for GT1000 FLEX and 1.67 g/cm3 for GT5000 FLEX), this new range makes it possible to rethink equipment engineering by favoring lightness, while offering mechanical properties never before achieved for these products.
