A 20ns reverse-recovery time is claimed to reduce PFC MOSFET switching losses, increase switching speed and improve energy efficiency, while fast soft recovery capability ensures ringing and EMI interference are reduced. Boost diode recovery losses are minimised by a 3.9A reverse-recovery current, which is said to reduce power dissipation in the MOSFET and lowers the risk of system failure. A 1.95V forward voltage drop is also said to minimise boost diode conduction losses.
Supplied in a TO220AC package the rectifier is aimed at designers of PFC circuits who need to achieve the lowest possible energy losses, Diodes claims the DSR8F600 provides best-in-class performance, generates the least noise and achieves the highest power efficiency.
