Integrated connector module supports 10Gbit server and storage applications
Pulse Electronics has launched a new 10GBASE-T integrated connector module for servers, LAN on motherboard, adapter cards and storage devices.
The RJ4510GBASE-T platform is halogen free, RoHS compliant and offers a choice of multiple led configurations and EMI tab options. It meets PCIe mechanical requirements and supports the latest 10GBASE-T physical layer device technology and applications.
"Pulse Electronics has been at the forefront of innovations for 10Gbit Ethernet for many years," stated Chad Oblak, product manager, Pulse Electronics. "Our new connector module helps satisfy market demand for faster data connections between servers and for storage devices."
The new connector module complies with IEEE 803.standards and requirements and is tuned to have flat insertion loss curves and good return loss performance at high frequencies. A low insertion loss over the 1 to 400MHz band is said to allow for longer cable reach.
