According to the company, the EERAM offers instant random writes to the array with no write-cycle delay. Available in 4kbyte and 16kbyte densities and in standard 8pin SOIC, TSSOP and PDIP packages, EERAM has 3V and 5V options and can be specified for use in industrial and automotive temperature ranges.

A low cost, low risk memory solution from Microchip is said to offer unlimited endurance and safe data storage at power loss. Called EERAM, the device is a standalone SRAM with a shadow EEPROM back-up that retains the SRAM’s contents when system power is lost.
