MOSFET reduces dc motor losses
The new DMC4040SSD dual mosfet from Diodes is designed for use in low voltage, single and three phase brushless dc motor control applications.
It features matched N channel and P channel Rds(on) performances to ensure dc losses in motor loads are balanced and minimised. The device has a Vds rating of 40V and is designed for 24V dc motor systems controlling cooling and extractor fans, pumps, compressors and printer heads.
The mosfet has an Rds(on) performance of 25O at a Vgs of 10V. According to Diodes, this means conduction losses can be limited and reduction losses reduced. The DMC4040SSD features a continuous current rating of 6A, a pulsed current rating of 29A and is housed in an SO-8 package.
