The data, derived from independent testing, design verification and qualification laboratory Experior Laboratories, was presented at OFC 2016.
The Ferrolder features a novel design that combines the ferrule connector and holder in one. Constructed from titanium without the use of epoxy, the new component is claimed to eliminate connector failure and lowering costs.
Michael Barnoski, founder and chief executive officer of nanoPrecision, said: “We believe that our connector is well positioned to become the new standard in the Big Data era.”
The Ferrolder is backward compatible with traditional ceramic fibre optic connectors. nanoPrecision Products expects to launch the product commercially in the second half of 2016.
