PMIC developed for Intel Atom processor based applications
IDT has unveiled what it describes as an intelligent, scalable, and distributed power management ic (pmic) for Intel Atom processors, Intel Xeon processors and Intel Core processors.
The IDTP9145 is a programmable, multi channel device specifically designed to support the power management requirements of Intel Atom processor based SoCs with a single solution.
Leveraging IDT's scalable, distributed power sources, it is said to enable system designers to add phases and output current to the internal dc/dc regulator as needed by the application – minimising development risk and increasing flexibility for point of load regulation, circuit board routing and thermal distribution.
