Intel selects Dialog pmic for new ‘Bay Trail’ processor
Intel has selected Dialog Semiconductor's DA6021 power management ic for its new quad core Atom processor, codenamed 'Bay Trail'.

First announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, Bay Trail is a 22nm chip specifically designed for tablets.
Due to launch this summer, it promises double the performance of the company's current generation 32nm processors.
Dr Jalal Bagherli, Dialog's ceo, commented: "The tablet market represents an exciting growth opportunity and we're delighted to be working with Intel in delivering a vital component for the next generation Intel Atom platform."
