Power mosfet increases power density, lowers system cost
International Rectifier has introduced a new power mosfet for heavy load automotive applications, including electric power steering, braking systems and pumps.
Leveraging IR's benchmark COOLiRFET silicon technology, the 40V AUIRF8736M2 is said to offer a 40% improvement in Rds(on) compared to previous generation devices, helping to minimise conduction losses.
The device is qualified according to AEC-Q101 standards, features an environmentally friendly, lead free package and RoHS compliant bom, and is part of IR's automotive quality initiative targeting zero defects.
