Power supplies achieve 92% efficiency at 50% full load
Murata has announced the D1U86G series of 460W front end power supplies.
The units measure only 86.0 x 196.9 x 39.9mm and are suitable for length limited applications and mid plane design architectures.
Murata says they achieve a minimum conversion efficiency of 92% at 50% full load.
The D1U86G family comprises two models, both providing a +12VDC 460W output with either 'back to front' or 'front to back' direction of airflow.
The power factor corrected devices accommodate the universal ac input range from 90 to 264VAC. Forced air cooling is provided by an internal variable speed fan.
Features include hot swapping and hot plug capability, as well as droop current sharing for up to eight supplies to be connected together.
Typical applications include servers, storage sub-systems and data communications infrastructure equipment, workstations, storage devices, and other distributed power systems.
