‘Smallest’ Bluetooth 5 module with antenna

Taiyo Yuden has launched three Bluetooth 5 modules which it says are suitable for use in a range of applications, including wearable devices, healthcare equipment, smartphone peripherals, and IoT-related devices.

The modules are the EYSHCNZWZ, measuring 9.6 × 12.9 ×2mm, the EYSHJNZWZ (5.1 × 11.3 × 1.3mm) and the EYSHSNZWZ 3.25×8.55×0.9mm).

The EYSHSNZWZ features Taiyo Yuden’s shield mould technology to create with the company says is the smallest Bluetooth 5 module with an antenna currently available.

All three modules feature UART, SPI and I2C interfaces, along with 64kbyte of RAM. With Japan, FCC, IC and CE certification, the modules are designed for use in temperatures ranging from -40 to 85°C.
