The module, which measures 52 x 76mm, features Xilinx’ Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, up to 4Gbyte of DDR4 SDRAM and up to 512Mbyte of flash memory for configuration and operation. Assembly options allow additional volatile or non volatile memory to be added. According to the company, it supports Micron XTRMFlash and Spansion/Cypress HyperRAM or HyperFlash.
Other features include an onboard switch mode power delivery subsystem with 14 DC/DC converters and 13 LDO regulators controlled by a low power MCU. Board to board stacking connectors provide 480 terminals, while an ultra low jitter PLL provides all necessary clocks to the 20 serial transceivers.
“The TE0808 is the first implementation of the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC in a system-on-module,” said Thorsten Trenz, CEO of Trenz Electronic. “It gives design engineers the technical edge they have been looking for as they grapple with the significant demands of developing the next generation of multitasking embedded systems.”
