Switch supports optimal signal routing
An octal switch from Intersil is targeted at smartphone applications. The ISL54230's size and flexible design enables the different types of signals in dual mode, dual standby operation phones to be routed optimally.
The ISL54230 is a quad DPDT analogue switch that can operate from a single 2 to 5.5V supply. It contains eight SPDT switches configured into four DPDT blocks. Each DPDT block is controlled by a logic input signal, allowing switching and routing of USB, UART, PCM for Bluetooth PHY, SIM power/data and audio signals between internal chips and external connector pins.
Dual USB 2.0 high-speed 2:1 multiplexers provide USB connector access to multiple baseband and multimedia processor chips. To enable SIM card supply line switching, the ISL54230 offers a pair of 1? switches.
