TFT with on board asic controller
The new combination of TFT with on board asic controller from GTK is designed to offer a number of advantages over the traditional TFT product. According to GTK, it retains all the functionality of traditional TFTs but the additional controller makes programming and interfacing much simpler and the transition from mono graphic to colour displays is easier.
The TFT product is available in 3.5, 4.0, 4.3 and 5.7in sizes as standard. It has wide viewing angles with contrast and brightness levels and operates between temperatures of -20 to +70°C. It also features an 8/9/16/18bit 80/68 series mcu Interface.
Clive Dickinson, business manager for Optoelectronic products at GTK, said, "This product is ideal for OEMs who want to make the transition from a mono to colour TFT display, but have not used graphic modules before or don't have significant in house R&D and programming resources. The asic onboard controller makes the whole process much simpler and helps to accelerate time to market for new products, something which is becoming increasingly important in today's electronics marketplace."
