COMBIMET is not just the company’s newest and bestselling 19 inch rack mount enclosure; itis also is the fastest growing product in the entire METCASE range.
The secret of its success? Simple – ease of customisation. COMBIMET can be supplied fully finished and fully assembled in batches as small as 10 units.
Designers and engineers can specify COMBIMET as standard in 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U and 6U – the biggest choice of sizes for any rack mount enclosure in the METCASE range.
The most popular sizes are 1U and 3U but METCASE has also been asked to manufacture COMBIMET in custom sizes including 5U and 7U – along with bespoke desktop versions for instrumentation and oversized non-rack versions for roof voids.
COMBIMET is the most versatile rack case in the METCASE range. Both the top and base panels can be specified either ventilated or unventilated – reducing the need for machining (or for maximum ventilation, specify the open top COMBIMET T in 2U or 3U as standard).
Any machining that is required is quick and easy because METCASE’s designers have made sure that every panel is removable – defying the industry convention of using U-shaped case profiles.
This ease of access also makes it easier to install custom-specified internal mounting plates, chassis and brackets. METCASE offers 3D models for all its enclosures so customers can see in advance how their finished cases will look.
COMBIMET can be specified in black or light grey as standard. Custom colours are also available – METCASE also keeps the 19 most popular colours in stock so they can be specified as ‘no cost’ options.
Legends and logos can be printed using state of the art digital technology, avoiding the high set-up costs associated with silk screen printing. This is available for the entire case – not just the front panel.
Even COMBIMET’s distinctive handles are easy to customise because they are extruded. And they have become so popular as a retrofit to other cases that METCASE has now added them to its accessories range.
COMBIMET is one of four rack mount enclosures offered by METCASE: the others are VERSAMET (1U), UNIMET (2U, 3U) and METTEC (1U, 2U, 3U).
