Display solutions and embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of a new compact PICO-ITX single board computer (SBC) from leading embedded computing solutions manufacturer AAEON. The PICO-EHL4 supports 11th Generation Intel Atom, Pentium, and Celeron series processors, which enable enhanced performance, flexibility and a host of integrated technologies designed for embedded computing systems.
Ideal for low power embedded applications, the latest generation of Intel Atom x6000E, Pentium, and Celeron N and J series processors deliver greater computing performance over previous generations along with key technologies such as in-band ECC to ensure data accuracy and integrity. The PICO-EHL4 also takes advantage of the support for faster memory speeds and higher capacities by providing up to 16GB of LPDDR4x 3200MHz memory on-board.
A strong compliment of I/O features includes two USB3.2 and two USB2.0 ports, two serial port headers (supporting RS232/422/485), 4-bit GPIO, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, and two HDMI 2.0 ports supporting 4K graphics at 60Hz, in addition to onboard support for LVDS or eDP enabling the board to support up to three independent displays.
Peter Marchant, embedded division manager at RDS said, “Review Display Systems can support and supply engineers and designers with an extensive range of embedded products and solutions. The compact, low power AAEON PICO-EHL4 enables a versatile, highly integrated computing platform that is highly suitable for information kiosks, digital signage and IoT network applications.”
A host of onboard features enable flexibility to meet the needs of individual applications. Expansion slots include both M.2 2230, which enables Wi-Fi or Bluetooth functionality to be added, and a full-sized Mini-Card for expanded storage.
The compact form factor of the PICO-ITX SBC features mechanical outline dimensions of just 100mm (w) x 72mm (h) and supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°.
The AAEON PICO-EHL4 single board computer is now available from Review Display Systems.
