METCASE Launches New COMBIMET 19” Rack Cases
1 min read
METCASE has launched the new COMBIMET 19" rack case series for rack mounted electronics equipment. These attractive and versatile 19" enclosures are manufactured in robust yet lightweight aluminium. Standard options include 1U, 2U and 3U front panel sizes, two case depths, light grey or black paint finish, and plain or ventilated top and base panels. The front panels are fitted with ergonomic 'comfort-handles' for easier installation. All parts have earth points.
Typical applications for the COMBINET 19" cases will include rack mounted test and measurement devices, audio and video systems and networking and communications equipment.
These attractive and versatile rack mount enclosures are manufactured in robust yet lightweight aluminium, rather than heavier mild steel which is more commonly used for this type of enclosure. The rack cases also feature two extruded front handles which are ergonomically designed for comfortable carrying and installation in to the racks.
COMBIMET 19" rack cases are manufactured in 1U, 2U and 3U heights in two depths of 265mm and 365mm – other sizes can be manufactured to order. The enclosures are powder painted in light grey, RAL 7035 or black, RAL 9005.
The modern construction consists of an anodised 19" front panel with painted front panel handles, side panels, top and base, and a recessed removable rear panel. Ventilated models have fully perforated top and base panels to aid thermal management inside the rack. All the fabricated parts are fitted with M4 earth studs for electrical continuity. Every model is supplied fully assembled. Prices start at £64.
The top and base panels also include a series of holes for fitting PCB mounting pillars or internal mounting plates which are available as accessories.
METCASE offers a full customising service on the COMBIMET 19" rack cases with made-to-measure sizes, CNC punching, milling and drilling, silk-screen printing and much more, thus providing fully finished enclosures ready for fitting the electronic components.
