New AC/DC Adapter series from MORNSUN offer outputs of 5W to 36W

Global power conversion manufacturer MORNSUN is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of single output wall-mount AC adapters with an output range of 5W to 36W.

This range of wall-mount adapters feature a Class II universal AC input of 90 – 264V(47 - 63Hz) and are available with fixed input pins for the UK, Europe, USA, China and Australia.

This range is made up of six series with 5W, 12W, 18W, 24W and 36W providing outputs via a cable fitted as standard with a 2.1 x 5.5 x 10mm centre positive connector. Single DC outputs in this series include 3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 24V. Outputs feature voltage accuracy of ±5% (3V: 7%), line regulation of ±1% and load regulation of ±5%. The outputs of 3V, 5V, 9V have low ripple and noise 120mV P-P max, and of 12V, 15V, 18V and 24V are 1% of the rate output P-P max and are fully protected with continuous self-recovery short circuit protection (hiccup mode), over-voltage protection and over-current protection.

The other two series provide outputs of 5W and 12W and are designed for USB systems. They are fitted with an in-built USB A socket.

These series meets the efficiency requirements of DoE VI and COC V5, and their no load power consumption is as low as 0.1W and efficiency of 87.4% maximum. They are fully safety certified with approval to UL60950, EN60950, BS EN60950, AS/NZS60950, EN60065, EN61558-2-16 and EN61347. They are designed to the latest EMC requirements and meet EN55032 and the requirements of EN61000.

These adapters are compact and housed in plastic cases that are compliant with 94V-0 requirements. Standard colours are black and white with other colours available depending on customer requirements. They are designed to provide long life with an MTBF of 50K Hr’s to MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C.

This range of adapters have an operating temperature range of -10°C to +40°C andare suitable for a wide range of applications including consumer electronic devices, routers, telecommunication devices, office devices, LED lighting and civil applications.
