A supplier of highly configurable process node-agnostic analogue IP building blocks, the company was helped by a £1m project co-funded by Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency.
This funding enabled Agile Analog to substantially extend the number of applications for which it can supply configurable, optimised analogue IP and the addition of IP for ADCs, DACs and security monitoring has opened up new opportunities in export markets around the world.
Earlier this year, Agile Analog announced an expansion of its field sales force in Asia and in North America to take advantage of the surging global demand for Agile Analog’s configurable analogue IP.
That configurability means that IP can be configured to customer specifications and optimised for their application, foundry and node and it stems from the company's silicon proven COMPOSA technology.
COMPOSA is an automated system for generating new IP within as little as four weeks after finalising the customer’s specification. Development and silicon validation of the innovative COMPOSA technology was made possible in part by the funding from Innovate UK, which was used to equip and recruit staff for the company’s engineering centre in Cambridge, UK.
Because of the capabilities of the COMPOSA technology, Agile Analog is able to offer customers a number of benefits such as: faster time-to-market, from months to weeks; higher performing ASICs and SoCs and more design flexibility with the COMPOSA system able to support any foundry and node. IP can even be re-targeted to a new foundry or node in the middle of a chip development.
