Agilent unveils 'industry's first' design and test solution for 3GPP LTE-Advanced
Agilent Technologies has unveiled what it says is the industry's first commercially available 4G system designer library for 3GPP Release 10 – the W1918 LTE advanced library.
The new system design library is available as an option to Agilent's SystemVue 2011.03 release software. Designers working to provide the 4G network 1Gbps peak download speed can use Agilent's W1918 LTE-Advanced library for earlier verification of physical layer (PHY) algorithms and system performance.
Agilent says the launch is in response to 4G networks such as LTE-Advanced which require a higher level of sophistication to deliver the necessary performance improvement. The company's W1918 LTE-Advanced baseband verification library is designed to provide a number of features. According to Agilent, it features superior intellectual property access to earlier working models of the evolving 4G standard; superior intellectual property access to earlier working models of the evolving 4G standard; outstanding rf and MIMO channel modeling fidelity: integration between multi-language PHY modeling and wideband test equipment; and greater rf and baseband design flow integration.
The W1918 LTE-Advanced library is available as an option to Agilent's SystemVue 2011.03 release. Initial availability of the library is expected in March 2011.
