Buck regulators offer ‘tightest’ reference accuracy
Texas Instruments has introduced two new 3.5A step down dc/dc converters with an integrated mosfet and 'industry leading' reference accuracy of 1%.
The TPS54360 and TPS54340 operate over an input voltage range from 4.5 to 60Vand 42V respectively, and a temperature range between -40 to 150°C.
According to TI, the devices current mode control allows simple external compensation and flexible component selection. A low dropout operating mode approaching 100% duty cycle is said to minimise input to output voltage drop.
