D/A converters provide highest precision, lowest power consumption
Texas Instruments has introduced a new family of dual 16, 14 and 12bit d/a converters, which it claims provides the industry's highest precision and lowest power consumption.
The DAC8562 series is said to deliver 25% better integral nonlinearity, 60% lower offset error compared to similar devices and best in class power consumption. Characterised for harsh industrial environments up to 125°C, the devices provide support for different control loops and are ultra compact.
As such, they are targeted at space and power constrained systems such as wireless base stations, programmable logic control analogue output modules, motor control, precision instrumentation and portable medical equipment.
