Ericsson launches surface mount power module
A surface mount version of Ericsson Power Modules' 380W PKM4000B module is said to meet the need for space saving components in a range of applications.
Accepting input voltages ranging from 36 to 75V and providing an output of 12V/33A, the PKM4000B SI is manufacturing in the standard quarter brick and is compatible with similar products available on the market.
With a typical efficiency of 96% at half load and 48V input, the module features Ericsson's Floated Inserted Pin technology to provide high coplanarity and a wide soldering surface.
The module includes operational protection for over temperature protection, output over voltage protection and output short circuit protection.
