Eurotech sells embedded computing business for $38m
Defence specialist Curtiss-Wright Controls has agreed to buy Eurotech's embedded computing subsidiary, Parvus, for $38million.
Eurotech says the deal will help it focus on other areas of external growth, including the burgeoning Internet of Things (IoT) market.
Tom Quinly, president of Curtiss-Wright Controls, commented: "The Parvus team has established a leadership position in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) based small form factor processors and networking subsystem solutions.
"This extends Curtiss-Wright's capabilities and fills two gaps in our product portfolio to help drive continued growth in our core aerospace, defence and homeland security markets."
