New op amps designed to halve power requirements
Touchstone Semiconductor has announced what it claims to be the industry's first and only dual and quad single supply precision cmos operational amplifers fully specified to operate at 0.8V, while consuming less than 0.6µA supply current per amplifier.
According to the analogue ic developer, the TS1002 dual and TS1004 quad operational amplifiers are designed to cut power requirements by half compared to any other amplifer.
The devices have been optimised for ultra long life, battery powered applications. Specifications include: a single 0.65 to 2.5V operation; a supply current of 0.6µA per amp; and an offset voltage of 0.5mV.
The TS1002 and TS1004 are fully specified at VDD=0.8V and over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The TS1002 is available in 8 lead MSOP surface mount packages and the TS1004 in a 14 pin TSSOP package.
