Samsung to compete against Apple iPad

The president of Samsung's mobile communications division, J K Shin, told Bloomberg that the South Korean company intends to respond with a rival product. Although the processor that runs the iPad was supplied by Samsung, Shin said that the device will create a new demand and there was a need for the company to compete in the market. He added: "At the same time, they are our customer and we are the supplier of components to them."
