Spansion unveils six auto qualified flash memories
Spansion has added six devices – three serial NOR and three NAND – to its flash memory portfolio and says the parts are specifically qualified to meet the automotive industry's extended temperature range and quality requirements.
The FL1-K serial NOR range is expanded with 16Mbit, 32Mbit and 64Mbit devices qualified for use in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125°C. Spansion is also adding 1Gbit, 2Git and 4Gbit automotive grade members to its ML-G1 NAND flash range. The new devices are qualified for use in temperatures ranging from -40 to 105°C. All six additions meet AEC-Q100 requirements, as well as those of the Production Part Approval Process.
Robin Jigour, senior vice president of Spansion's Flash Memory Group, said: "Automotive OEMS are increasing their demand for automotive grade components as applications like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, instrument clusters, infotainment and data logging systems become standard offerings in a wider range of vehicles."
