Time to market boost
Technology specialist PA Consulting Group has accelerated development of an innovative home energy display device for Onzo. The device is designed to detect electricity consumption in the whole of a house and to provide this information on a real time digital display.
According to Onzo, it appointed PA as its development partner because of its rapid product development capabilities in the area of handheld consumer electronics, as well as for its experience in low power electronics and display technologies and its understanding of the manufacturing supply chain.
Joel Hagan, Onzo’s chief executive, said: “Selecting PA helped us to increase investor and client confidence in our ability to deliver a market leading product, particularly to an aggressive timeline.”
PA has also worked closely with Onzo’s sustainable product design partner, Lightweight Medical, to make the carbon footprint of the device as low as possible through selection of components and manufacturing locations. The companies have also created a design based around an end of life ‘take back scheme’/recycling.
