Toshiba adds three ‘industry firsts’ to TransferJet portfolio
Toshiba has added three new products to its portfolio of solutions which support the TransferJet close proximity wireless transfer standard.
The company says the industry's smallest TransferJet enabled SDIO module, the first TransferJet enabled microSDIO card and the first TransferJet enabled usb adaptor module will all help simplify the deployment of TransferJet technology.
TransferJet technology is designed to allow high speed wireless transfer of large multimedia files between computers, tablets, phones and a wide variety of consumer electronics products by touching two devices together.
The SDIO ic module measures 4.8 x 4.8 x 1mm and integrates the TransferJet transceiver, rf components and a crystal oscillator. The module begins sampling in Q4 2012, while the microSDIO card and usb adaptor are expected to be available in Q1 2013.
