16bit micro comes in 48pin qfp
Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe has expanded its 16FX family of 16bit microcontrollers for automotive and industrial applications with the addition of 7 x 7mm 48pin qfp versions.
The devices offer three channels of combined LIN-USART-SPI, one I2C channel and one C-CAN interface for automotive applications. For use in standard applications, versions without the embedded C-CAN controller are planned.
The first product incorporates 160kbyte of embedded flash, a 12 channel 10bit a/d converter, 14 channels of 16bit PWM, a four channel 16bit reload timer, a two channel 16bit timer with capture functionality and 12 channels of external interrupts. The company says a 96kbyte version is planned.
The cpu runs up to an operating frequency of 56MHz and a clock modulator can be used to improve emc behaviour.
