Clock fanout buffers offer 60% power savings
IDT has launched a new range of 1.8V LVDS clock fanout buffers.
The low voltage devices are said to offer performance characteristics similar to that of 3.3V modules.
IDT says they enable customers to save 60% power and heat dissipation without sacrificing accuracy, bit error rates or functionality.
The buffers accept a clock or data signal input and duplicate that signal for the purpose of providing a high quality clock or data signal to multiple devices within the system.
The 8P34S devices supports up to 12 outputs and is pin to pin compatible with higher voltage versions, making them suitable for use in complex, low noise, high speed clock designs.
