Integrated converter saves board space, procurement costs
The ISL8201M is a high efficiency, low noise, dc/dc converter supplied in a thermally enhanced qfn package. The part features is a PWM controller capable of switching at 600kHz, power mosfets, an inductor and all the passive components required for a dc/dc power solution.
The ISL8201M simplifies power supply design as only minimal external components are needed to implement a complete power solution. This saves board space, while the high level of integration reduces procurement and placement costs.
Capable of delivering an output of 10A at an efficiency of up to 95%, the part also features internal compensation, internal soft start, auto recovery overcurrent protection, an enable option and prebiased output start up.
Housed in a package measuring 15 x 15 x 3.5mm and featuring a copper plate beneath the package, the ISL8201M features a power density of approximately 200W/in³.
