IR expands PowIRaudio family
International Rectifier has expanded its PowIRaudio family of integrated power modules to include two new devices, the IR4311M and IR4312M.
The 40V modules offer a compact solution for low power Class D audio applications, including tabletop audio systems, active speakers and musical instruments with integrated amplifiers.
According to IR, the combination of an advanced audio controller ic with mosfets, fully optimised for audio performance results in improved efficiency, THD, and EMI, allowing the IR43xxM family to operate without a mechanical heatsink over a wide power supply range on either a single or split power supply.
High voltage ratings and noise immunity ensure reliable operation over various environmental conditions.
Additional features include over current protection, thermal shutdown, internal and external shutdown and floating differential input. The IR4312M also offers clip detection.
