Isolated DC/DC converters improve efficiency, cut footprint
CUI has added to its second generation isolated DC/DC converter family. The 2W modules in the PDS2-M series are said to offer improved efficiency, isolation and thermal performance compared to previous versions.
The converters come in an 8pin SMT package measuring 12.7 x 11.2 x 7.25mm, and feature 1.5kVdc I/O isolation with anti-static protection up to 8kVdc.
The devices operate over a temperature range of -40 to 105°C and are suitable for a variety of industrial, telecom, security and machine control applications.
The range provides inputs of 5, 12, 15 and 24Vdc and outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15 and 24Vdc. Efficiency is rated at 86%.
