Low profile, high efficiency power supplies from XP
XP Power has announced the ECP180 series of open frame, 180W ac/dc power supplies.
The low profile (25.4mm), high efficiency units provide a convection cooled rating of 120W (180W when force cooled), have an average active mode efficiency of 93% and a no load power consumption of less than 0.5W.
XP claims they occupy 46% less footprint than the industry standard 3 x 5in power supply. The modules are also optimised to produce less heat than competing solutions - assisting designers of end systems to meet current 'green' energy efficiency standards.
