MIPAQ Pro is a fully qualified and tested IPM, integrating IGBTs, gate drivers, heat sink, sensors, digital control electronics and digital bus communication in one device. The high performance subsystem provides high power density combined with a large safe operating area.
As many as four of MIPAQ Pro units can be connected in parallel to cover power ranges of up to 7MW. The IPMs come in a half-bridge configuration with blocking voltages of 1200V or 1700V. A nominal current of up to 2400A is supported to realise compact inverters. Power density is increased by up to 35% compared to previous solutions like ModSTACK C.
All key operating parameters, such as the output current, DC-link voltage, PCB temperature and switching frequency are monitored closely and related warning signals can be issued. The operating temperatures of the IGBTs and the diodes are calculated and monitored, making sure the IPM operates safely within the specified limits.
