ADI addresses demand for higher resolution Pro-AV
Analog Devices claims its new range of ICs deliver 50% less power at 1.2W from a ±5V supply and a 55% increase in speed at 700MHz – the industry's highest bandwidth.
ADI's ADV32xx family of ICs have been designed to meet the demand for higher resolution Pro-AV equipment and crosspoint switches that deliver high-speed, low power consumption and compact footprint.
The range incorporates 16 × 16 buffered crosspoint switches and buffered multiplexers for Pro-AV switching and distribution system applications such as video conferencing and digital signage.
The company adds that its new family of multiplexers -the 2 to 1 ADV3219 and ADV3220 and the 4 to 1 ADV3221 and ADV3222 - also offer the industry's highest bandwidth at 650MHz, with a 10% and 30% increase in speed, respectively, over competitors.
The buffered crosspoint switches and muxes are suitable for Pro-AV routing applications that require switching of multiple video sources including composite, component and S-Video.
