Freescale extends 'lowest power' Kinetis L range
Freescale has added to its <a href="http://www.newelectronics.co.uk/electronics-technology/will-devices-such-as-freescales-kinetis-l-range-spell-the-end-for-the-8bit-mcu/44723/">Kinetis L series</a> of ultra low power mcus.
The newest 32bit, ARM Cortex-M0+ devices are designed to extend battery life in portable applications.
They include enhanced on board memory (256KB of flash and 32KB of sram), as well as integrated or optional segment lcd and usb interfaces for enhanced performance, reduced board space and lower total system costs.
Typical applications include remote controls, thermostats, digital timers and handheld metres.
